Hi Cousin, My name is Chris Brown and I am a descendant of Peter Brown through his son Ed: Peter>Ed>Lawrence>Adrian>Me. Peter Brown was actually born in Ohio on the 4th of April 1845. Rupbert was born 15 January 1882 in Wright Township to Peter and Margaret (Kluting) Brown. Rupbert was the fifth of twelve children born to that marriage. Peter later remarried after Margaret's death to Mrs. Bertha (Rademacher) Burns who had two sons from her previous marriage and Peter & Bertha had two daughters of their own. So Rupbert (or uncle Rup as my dad called him) grew up in a family of sixteen kids. Rupbert did marry Cecilia J. "Celia" Fritz on 23 November 1909. She had been married to Albert Omlor and had one daughter (Pauline) in 1907 Pauline later married Harold Connor. Rupbert and Celia had seven children (The ones you listed in your message). It depicts a military review for Abraham Lincoln, in 1865, of the Michigan Cavalry Brigade. Unfortunately, I did not record the precise Library of Congress URL for it. Would anyone possibly have CD Rom # 269 Dutch in America 1800's and possibly do a look up. I am trying to find when my grandparents came to America and any other pertinent information about them. my grandfather was Nicholas Helder b. Aug. of 1865 in Gronigen, Netherlands my grandmother was Tietje Koning b. 24 May 1863 or 1864 in the Netherlands I believe they came to America around 1883 and settled in the Chicago Area.
