Mildred passed away suddenly on Dec 31 1933. She was staying at the house of Mr and Mrs A. Dyksterhouse of Eastmanville. Mildred was a first year teacher at Eastmanville and was only 21 when she died. She is buried with Chris Workman and his parents Reinder and Fannie in Spring Lake. Her adopted mother, Anna, died in 1924 and supposed to be buried in Coopersville Cemetery but I have not been able to find her site. Any help on any of these people would be appreciated. I have Henry b 1844 as the son of Andrew Tibbets and Mary Pierce. Andrew later married Genevra Grigg. I pulled loads of stuff off the Ottawa and Kent web pages. I have the censuses from OH. Andrew's death record states he was a son of John Tibbets and Polly Ellis. His brother Henry married a Sarah Ellis in Portage county Ohio in 1837. It appears they moved to Michigan about 1857/58. Let me know if any of this helps or if you have other questions. I am reasonably sure my 3xgrandmother is their sister and a daughter of Jonathan or John Tibbets, but I have found nothing to prove it yet--just circumstantial evidence. I treid to write you off list, but the e-mail came back undeliverable. Barb

Possible sons are Andrew (spouse Mary Pierce), Henry (spouse Sarah Ellis)and Edward whose families are enumerated in 1840 and 1850 in Northampton, Summit co, OH and 1860-1880 in Byron, Kent Co, MI and Jamestown and Georgetown in Ottawa Co, MI. My GGGgrandmother was Hannah Tibbets b. Sept 30, 1814 in Vt. or NY. Her first husband was Isaac Johnson of Northampton, Summit co. Isaac died in 1844 and she remarried to William Hart in Chippewa Twp, Medina co, OH. I'm trying to prove her as a daughter to Jonathan Tibbetts.

The name, "Bronkema" is very familiar to me as I heard my Grandma Guiles speak of it often. Nellie Mildred White had 3 children; 2 of whom survived to adulthood. My father was Eugene White Guiles, b. 23 JUN 1923, d. 15 NOV 1983. She also had Mary Esther Guiles (Bennett) and another son named, "Forest" who died when he was 10. They lived on W.
