    3. Hi List, I need your help.My GGGG-Grandfather, William See was killed in a battle with the British during the war of 1812. He was killed Oct. 20, 1813 in Elmira, Ostego Co., Michigan. His war record says he was buried there in Elmira. If he had a gravestone it might say private, but he actully was a Captain. He commanded a company of Kentucky volunteers. Are there any records in Elmira or Ostego Co? Is there a cemetary there in Elmira with the burial records? I would greatly appreciate any help.
