Hi List, Part 2, pre-1853 This list is in alphabetical order. These are some of the results of my search of the index of Oakland Probate, LDS Film #927422, compiled by Alice SORRELL for DAR in 1956. These results only cover the time period from June 15, 1822 through October 11, 1852. If I did find your name, then I provide below the reference number. For some of the following, I have also provided an abstract of the probate file. A few of you have so many hits, that it would take me too long to copy the abstracts, and the chances of me making a transcription error would be quite high. These folks may want to consider getting the film themselves or contact me for getting copies. Better yet, I would suggest all of you get a copy of the actual probate file. Father lived in Shelby Twp., Macomb County. 761: AXFORD, Ross. Will dated March 2, 1849, Oakland Twp., filed April 14, 1849, Dec'd 6 March 1849. Heirs: Sarah D. AXFORD, Mercy N. AXFORD, sisters. Wit. to Will: Wm. AXFORD and Manassa KLINE. Adm. Wm. KLINE of Oakland Twp. BARRETT: Samuel: reference 909. Will abstract: 10 full lines of names etc. Too much to hand copy. GIDDINGS: reference 244 and 517 244: RIGGS, James W., died in testate September 20, 1839. Amd. Joseph M. RIGGS. Heirs: widow Mary Ann RIGGS, later Mary Ann DAVIS, children Sarah Ann, wife of Almon M. GIDDINGS, Laura wife of John H. SPENCER, Caroline E. RIGGS, Alta RIGGS, and James E. RIGGS. James owned 280 acres in Avon Twp. 517: GIDDINGS, Almon: Will dated November 8, 1847 Pontiac. Filed April 18, 1848. Dec'd March 1848. Wit: Simon WALTON, Hiram WALTON. Heirs: Lola/Loly GIDDINGS, wife E...yable PERRY, Deborah GOODRIDGE, Polly WEST, Isaac D. GIDDINGS, Albert GIDDINGS, Almon M. GIDDINGS, children. Property in Pontiac Twp. Adms. Isaac C. GIDDINGS and Albert GIDDINGS. HUMMER, Fanny: reference 409: 409: Will of Archibald SWAYZE. Eleven lines, many names including Fanny HUMMER, sister of Archibald. KLINE, Peter: reference 575 575: KLINE, Peter, died in testate, filed 23 September 1846. Heirs: Sarah KLINE, wife, William MANASSA, Jacob, Ephraim, Margaret KLINE, children. Apparently Betsey ROSEBURY was a daughter, see reference $673. Also Sally Ann LAMBERTON, see # 673 and #677.
