Hi, I found your reference to Solomon Prentice interesting. I have in my notes a reference to an Oakland County Probate Record that states BENJAMIN, AUGUSTA (my gg grandmother) ADELLA (her sister), Guardianship filed 20 June 1867. Heirs of the great-great-grandfather, Solomon Prentice of Onondaga Co, N.Y. Augusta is over the age of 14 years, Adella is ae 4 years. Guardian James D Benjamin, father. I have never taken the time to pursue this. The male Benjamin line has been extensively researched, so I am assuming that Prentice must be on a wife's line. James Benjamin's wife was Clarinda Kneeland. James Benjamin's mother was Sally Spear and the Spear line is another well documented line. Does this Solomon Prentice connect to yours????
