Hi Carol, Waited to see if someone else came up with some info for you before replying. Here is what I know. I was told that the earliest Birmingham city directory was 1929. This is the year that Birmingham changed their street address numbers. I was told that there is a copy in the state library in Lansing and a Mr. James Groves now deceased had the other one. Mr. Groves told me this. Since he is now dead, perhaps his family donated his copy to the Oakland County Genealogical Society or to a library in Oakland County. If you should learn anything more than this about dirctories I would appreciate you letting me and the list know. If I learn anything more I will let you and the list know. I did find in the book Birmingham and West Bloomfield Cemeteries on page 16 published by the Oakland County Genealogical Society the following. GRIFFIN, Emily DAVIS w/o John W. b. Feb 2, 1836 d. Oct 22, 1872 This is in Greenwood Cemetery, Section B, Row 5.
