    3. Has anyone else noticed in the redesign of the website they trashed their online obit archive? Or is it just me who can't find the archives anymore? Concetta >>> Dan Harriman <kc5gxl@sbcglobal.net> 4/14/2004 11:56:07 PM >>> --=======11DE6E3D======= Content-Type: text/plain; x-avg-checked=avg-ok-7F9E5CAD; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Hello Rita; If the folks died in the 90's, then they may have lived in Orion township. That I would assume is near or surrounds the city of Lake Orion, about 15 miles north of Pontiac. Clarkston is about 10 miles or so west of Lk Orion, still in Oakland county. Pontiac is the county seat of Oakland county and it has a good size courthouse and genealogy department there. The main newspaper of Oakland county has always been the Pontiac Press. It changed names in the 60's or 70's and became the Oakland Press. It is still printing daily newspapres to this day. This is the paper that would have an obit, if an obit was even written. You can do a google search for the Oakland Press. It has online presence and an online obit section. I do not know how far back its archives go for the online obits. Good luck in your search.
