Karen, (and Sandi,) If I'm not mistaken, I think Sandi's best bet would be to: A. Find out what he was doing in 1930 by checking the 1930 census - he could have changed careers in the time between his 1920 census entry and his entry into Pontiac in 1937. and B. Wait out the short period (roughly eight more years) until the 1940 census is released and gives easy confirmation of employment and occupation. Otherwise, I should think that since Sandi knows the year of his death, hunting down an obit would be another option, since they typically give an occupation and occasionally place of employment.
