There's a village or city called Bingham Farms that borders Telegraph and 13 Mile Rd. Maybe the area was owned by them? There is a house on the west side with an address plaque that says BING and gives the address. Further south there are some office buildings with the name "Bing" incorporated into the building name (Binghamton or something like that.)
