Missy generously sent me what is in the book "Early Addison township History" Bicentennial 1976 for Kingsbury and Lockwood. There are some errors that I am posting corrections to thinking they may be of interest to other researchers. Kingsbury, Elijah, b. about 1775: m. Laura Lockwood, d. 1862. Ch: Esther, 1857-1923 (m. Charles Sowles) Laura Lockwood did not marry Elijah Kingsbury. She married his grandson Valentine Kingsbury. Esther Kingsbury that married Charles Sowles is daughter of Valentine and Laura. Leonard Kingsbury is son of Elijah and father of Valentine. The birth order of Leonard and Esther (Williams) Kingsbury children is: Alonzo b. 1823 Elias b. abt. 1826 Valentine b. abt. 1828 Lucinda b. abt. 1834 Lorinda b. abt. 1837 Fanny b. abt. 1839 The erroneous information is also in the book "The Addison Album". The source for this appears to be Virginia (Schooley) Roberts who was distantly related to the Kingsbury & Lockwood's through Laura Lockwood's 3rd marriage to Lester V. Sowles. This was also Lester's 3rd or 4th marriage. Virginia (Schooley) Roberts was daughter of Viola (Sowles) Schooley. I do not know who Viola (Sowles) Schooley's parents were. I would appreciate additions or corrections. Ann Alamogordo NM USA
