Hi I'm looking to make contact with a former/current resident of Albert Lea, Minn. The name I have is "A Marear Bailey" recorded in the following Obituary: OBITUARY: Died - March 03, 1977 "John Laurie A former Wayne resident, John Laurie, died Thursday in Albert Lea, Minn. He was 86 years old. Graveside services will be held today (Monday) at 10:30 am at Elmwood Cemetery in Carroll with the Rev. Kenneth Edmonds officiating. The body was to lie in state from 3 to 9pm Sunday afternoon at the Willse Mortuary in Wayne. "John Laurie was born Feb 20, 1891 near Wayne. He operated a lumber yard in Plainview until 1959, when he retired and moved to Long Beach, Calif. where he resided for 15 years. He became a resident of Albert Lea, Minn. about two and one half years ago. Survivors include one nephew A Marear Bailey of Albert Lea, Minn. and one neice Janet L Wilcher of Tucon, Ariz." John LAURIE's Parents were Alex and Jannette(McIntosh) LAURIE who emigrated in the 1890s from Ontario, Canada to the Wane area of Nebraska Jannette was an elder sister to my Grandmother. I think John Laurie had a younger sister - Margaret. I'm not sure if A Manear Bailey is still living or any of his descendants still live in the Albert Lea area.
