Struxness was born Aug. 12, 1829 in Fasberg parish, Gulbrandsdalen, Norway. He immigrated to American and came to Coon Prairie, WI. He enlisted in 1862 in the 15th Missouri regiment and served for three years. He married Gunhild Langseth 11/2/1874. They moved to Chippewa County, MN settling 3 miles SE of Milan. Their children were Anton, of ND. Rudolph of ND. Mrs. Ole Dolen of Milan, Prof. Albert Struxness of Willmar. Mathias of Milan, Gustav of Ambrose ND, Carl of Willmar, Rev Edward of Fingal ND, and Amalia of Milan. On 5/29/1935, Edward Struxness lived in Belgrade. David Struxness was ordained on 6/21/1944. He was a graduate of Belgrade high school in 1935. He accepted a pastorate at reserve, Montana. Rev Edward Struxness were married 1/18/1921 at Buxton, ND. On 6/17/1947 Alice Struxness was living in Belgrade according to an article regarding the silver wedding anniversary of Rev & Mrs. Edward Struxness. I found the information in a 'book' that I complied several years ago and put away in my cedar chest. Hope this information helps. Bev
