Hi Joanne, take a look at: http://www.dav.org/magazine/1999-2/Loud_&_Clear1154.html Maybe a hint. Greetings from a hot Bavaria Ingo -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Freitag, 16. I had information that it was in Winona Co. at least in the mid-1990's, but it seems that information might be incorrect because I wrote to the Winona Chamber of Commerce and they said they had never heard of it. So, now I'm looking all over the state for it. Or might anyone have ever heard of a person using the FRAMMERSBERGER surname *anywhere* in the whole state of MN? I'm looking for any trace of remaining descendants of Johann FRAMMERSBERGER from Holzhaeuser, Bavaria who should have been in MN sometime between 1920 - 1945. It's a very rare surname so anyone in the area with the name is bound to be a descendant of his. I know Johann did not die in MN (he died in Europe on the Eastern Front) and I have been unable to locate any person of the name (or quite a few possible variations that I tried) in the MN online death index. I also have secondhand information that someone who now lives in Georgia once went to school with a person(s) of the surname (same spelling) somewhere in MN probably in the mid to late 1980's. I think either these people must have unlisted phone numbers, it was a female who has since married and changed her name, or else I'm just on some kind of frustrating wild goose chase. <g> Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated.
