    3. Thanks Margit, I had found the North Dakota info, but it didn't agree with anything else I have found. The only other info I have at this time is from his obit and the 1900, 1910, and 1920 census. Unfortunately, the census information is inconsistent, and the obit gives few dates and those don't agree with the census. Based on the 1900 census, I was thinking that he may have started the process in Minnesota.
