It was a mental institution of sorts, and that is nearly all I know of it accept for one other small thing. When I was growing up in Northern MN there was a teenage girl living nearby. She was regularly abused by her family, and when she protested she was sent to "Anoka". She was definitely not a criminal, and was in fact the victim of criminal activity. Dennis
