Thank you Margit for the Hammer/Buvika. There is Hammer in Stjordal in Nord Trondelag, also, I think--but this is the one related to my roots in SorTrondelag.Many of them came to Minnesota-South Dakota. I understand the land in that area was poor and hard to make a living. It was west of Trondheim and along the Trondheimfjord. That is second-hand talk. I have not been there, yet.
