You can order other books and maps from them, too. Maps are very important for the research here--because if you don't know where to look for, you will never know what to look for. History has made many changes in the Pomeranian Research. Pomerania (Pommern in German) was a province in north central Germany. It was a low, rolling land, very similar to eastern Wisconsin, along the Baltic Sea. It had long sandy beaches with great dunes. Over a third of the 2.3 million people there are engaged in farming.
