I have an obituary which says my great uncle resided thirteen years in desert and county and twenty five years in the state. I am in England and I am afraid this means very little to me. The facts I have; he lived in Canada, then Minnesota, then California. Does the above statement fit in with these facts? Also, is or was, there a mining company in Minnesota which would keep employment records? What were they mining? The family story goes, that my great uncle was killed in a mining accident. I now know this is not true but as I cannot believe there was no truth in the story at all, I wonder whether it involved another member of his family. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could find out? Thank you in advance. Jane
