Hello, I am new to this list, and new to searching in the USA. I was wondering if someone might be able to help me out or point me in the right direction regarding the following: I have a certified copy of birth register for my G-gmother Oline Knudson, but the only problem is the entire family spelled their name Knutson. How do I go about finding the correct spelling? She was born in Eagle Lake Township in the county of Otter Tail Birth Register "D", Page 216, Line 33 May 9/1895 I also have some information saying my G-aunt was born Oct 26/1898 in the town of Mary, Roseau County. How do I get a copy of her certificate? And last but not least, how do I go about finding a passenger list from when they arrived in the USA? All I know is that they went there in 1883, I don't have as much as a name of a ship or port. Would there be census records that would help?
