Dear Minnesota Friends, Yes, it appears that the General Land Office Record site of the Bureau of Land Management website is offline today. And before anyone gets his/her hair on fire about this: I worked for the federal government, Department of the Army, for 20 years at West Point (yes, the Military Academy). And year by year, we lost employees because there wasn't enough money, hiring freezes, attrition, etc. So the rest of us were expected to do more and more work, but we didn't get anything like overtime or compensatory time or bonuses because it wasn't authorized. The point of my diatribe is that I suspect the the BLM is under the same hammer. So please understand that they are doing the best they can with what they've got.
