    3. Hi Jon, Hopefully some other folks got to your message faster and gave you some MN research tips. But, just in case, here's a few good sites: http://www.mnhs.org/genealogy/index.htm MN Death Certificates Index - Currently, this database indexes the death cards from 1905 to 1907 and the death certificates from 1908 to 1996. MN Birth Certificates Index - This Index currently covers the years 1900-1911. MN NEWSPAPER COLLECTION - Dates range from 1849 to the present day. There's a few "Summit" locations in MN and I'm not sure which one it is that you need: Summit Lake Twp. -- Nobles Co. Summit Twp. -- Beltrami Co. Summit Twp. -- Steele Co. The map at http://www.rootsweb.com/~mngenweb/ provides links to websites for all the counties in MN Hope that helps a bit.
