Hennepin County does not allow us to search the records, you have to give them the information and they look it up. And they do not do a search. It is annoying, but Hennepin is a huge county and the staff in that department are very busy. Additionally, the University of St Thomas is actually in St Paul, which is in Ramsey county. There is a campus in Minneapolis now, but that is fairly recent... I am quite certain it was not there in the 20's and 30's. So maybe you will have better luck searching in Ramsey, I have not had to research there so I do not know what their policy is. You also might want to check with the Catholic church - I am not Catholic so not sure of the heirarchy, but I think it is the St Paul Archdiocese. They would probably have the records if they were married in the Catholic Church. Good luck Jo
