Is there a military hospital in the Minneapolis area? If so was it there during WW1? My uncle, Walter Victor HUMPHRIES, was severely injured in Sep 1918 over seas (Germany?)and returned to the states in Mar 1919. He married Vera Person in Minneapolis Mar 1920 and was discharged Apr 1920. Since he was married while still in the Army I'm wondering if Vera either worked or volunteered at a military hospital. Walter was born and raised in Jackson Co, Missouri and entered the service from there. I'm wondering why he was in Minnesota. Could he have been still recovering from losing a leg. Thelma in Colorado
