    1. [MINNESOTA] Lightfoots from somewhere North of Iowa? 1950s in Iowa
    2. I'm seeking relatives/information for John Lightfoot and his wife, Bonnie, who lived in Des Moines, Iowa in the 1950s. I believe John might have been John J Lightfoot, Jr and Bonnie might have been Ordela/Ordalo Bonnie but am not 100% positive of that at this point. John was a mechanic/driver for Hawkeye Truck Equipment around 1947-1950 and a driver for Super Valu around 1949, both in Des Moines. Bonnie had at least one daughter, name unknown, who would have been approximately 19 in 1949. It's believed the daughter was from a previous marriage and that Bonnie and her daughter moved to Des Moines from "somewhere North", possibly Wisconsin or Minnesota. The daughter of Bonnie had at least one child, a son, born around 1949-1950. Here's what a search of Polk County Directories turned up for the Lightfoots: 1947 Directory John Lightfoot, mechanic Hawkeye Truck Equipment which was located at 905 Center (close to Keo) 1950 John J and Bonnie Lightfoot 925 9th, mechanic for Hawkeye mail listing for 925 9th was Gate W Everett and Dunakey Nora Mrs, 5 people lived here 1952 John and Bonnie lived at 1451 S.E. 36th, in the back of the book they list by mailing address and a Joseph A. Gaskins is listed for this address 1953 Lightfoot, John J jr and Ordela B, lived at 1211 Lyon (3 people lived here) 1954 Lightfoot, lived 2500 Valley Drive (runs south side of water works part) 2 people lived here 1959 Lightfoot, lived at 2101 Wakonda View Drive and was a driver for Super Valu (this is across from Dahl's on Fleur and is now a Quik Trip) If anyone knows of this family or knows someone who might, please email me. Thanks! Denise Price Boyd Denise's Random Thoughts: Families are like fudge .. mostly sweet with a few nuts.
