Captain David L. Wellman lived in Becker County and Otter Tail County, Minnesota. He was a veteran of the Civil War and the originator of the celebrated Wellman Saskatchewan Fife wheat, which at one time sold as high as ten dollars a bushel. You can find several references to him by using the search engine on the web page at http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnbecker Best regards, Dick Campbell ----- Original Message ----- From: "B. W. I came across a wedding pic with the names of the couple as Jim WELLMAN and Olive McINTOSH. No date but I guess it to be circa 1910/20. > I believe Olive's parents were Archibald "Archie" and Frances "Fanny" McIntosh of McGillivray Twp, Middlesex Co. Ont. Can. Olive had two brothers Russell, Paul and possibly a sister Grace. At some point the McIntoshes moved to Nebraska along with other members of the McIntosh family. Some of their descendants still live in/near Wayne, Nebraska. I've been in contact with these Nebraska Cousins and they suggested there were Wellmans living in Minnesota. > > If this info rings any bells I would appreciate further contact and discussion. > > Other names as In-laws associated with these McIntoshes are: > LAURIE, POLOCK, BECKMANN, MANN. > > Bev Powell > [email protected] > Strathroy, Ontario, Canada > > > > ==== MINNESOTA Mailing List ==== > To view completed census transcriptions online, go to: > http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/census/inv/index.html > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 >
