Of course, that is what you are saying . . . my point exactly!! Jeanine The point that you are coming across as making on this list is being very sceptical about the causes and reasons why ancestry has removed the dates and to me you are coming across also as being completely against them making money to run a business and to expand that business. I have a full access subscription and get the same as you do, no dates when doing a search on ancestry. But I honestly don't know the reason why, am not going to speculate on the reason, will wait to see if it is as some are saying, there is a problem with the search engine or there is another reason. >From what I am reading in all the different places that I am aware of it being discussed, the problem cropped up after they did the last update, so it could possibly be a techical one. As for buying discs, yes I do so, when I can afford to, even though I have full access to help during times of problems, or when I am moving around within the family to help further the info they are giving me. I have made discs for family and know what the cost of doing so comercially is, so that it has the proper accessing program on it so anyone can open it, whether they have all the fancy programs that I have or not. These discs also enable me to go to "Aunt Minnie's", who is 90, smart as a whip, but has no computer nor internet access and still answer questions about the other side of her family when I take my computer with me to see her. The older relatives love it!! Not only do they help me with what I am working on, let me scan their pics, but they get to have questions answered about a different part of their family they have wondered about. Then I can also print up what I found for them and they have it in black and white that they can see and tell others about. If in the future I find that ancestry is going back on their word to me regarding my subscription I will take it up with them, and if at any point I need to do more than that I will do it, with professional help. But in the meantime I see no reason to run off on tangents about what is going on when I do not know for sure. Annie in Minnesota
