    3. Hi Several months ago another subscriber responded to one of my post by supplying the weblink for Phone Information (411). Through the link you could obtain phone #s and address. 3. Just go to www.google.com Type in the person's name and town and state and it should come up. Like: Lyle Bakke Twin Valley MN and you will get: <http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Lyle+Bakke+Twin+Vall ey+MN> Very simple. And if you do not wish your information on there, you can take it off. To have your residential or business phone and address information removed from the Google PhoneBook, click here. <http://www.google.com/help/pbremoval.html> Margit.....wife of Lyle :-)) > > Hi > Several months ago another subscriber responded to one of my post by > supplying the weblink for Phone Information (411). 1. [MINNESOTA] Gen Poem

    3. So many have loved this particular poem. I wanted to share it with any who haven't seen it yet. MY ANCESTOR GRAND MOTHER I search for you yet do not even know your name I press on praying my efforts will prove fruitful the records do not list you or the other women who have lived and loved and laughed, gave birth, and died, the records perpetrate the myth that you were never here but I stand whole and bare my soul and vow to find you as I live I search for you in old records, in churches, at the Embassy, in small dimly lit rooms in the back of obscure libraries and archives and pour over barely readable handwritten ledgers with magnifying glass and flashlight I live on mainly toast these days there isn't time for meals or much sleep feeling as I always do, on the very brink of discovery Perhaps THIS will be the day I find the one seemingly insignificant clue, which will lead me to you although I did not find you listed in the Census Records I am not deterred, you may turn up yet, on an Immigration or Naturalization list somewhere perhaps, or maybe tucked away inside some bank of vital statistics, long forgotten like so many others, your name having become lost over the long years Your name could be lying even now amidst the millions of documents stored and locked away safeguarded in the bowels of a giant warehouse all stopped up from apathetic crowds who have long ceased their visits your precious name, lying just inside a myriad of records packed in tight, packed in to stay never guessing I would come My Poetry Website is at; (Gen and other poems) http://users.rosenet.net/poetryandroses/ My Genealogy Website is at; (check for your surnames) http://www.gaia.edu/genclass/srose/

    1. [MINNESOTA] Your 1600s American Ancestors
    2. First Families
    3. Hello Everyone: Those of you who are working on your lines back to your 1600s American Ancestors will find the1600s Ancestors Data Base to be of great help. My recent postings to the Data Base has taken it to over 26,500 Ancestors who have descendants living today. I have also added several National Societies who have proven many of these Ancestors. Also at this time a few new respected Reference works that contain thousands of sources including some of the early colonists who have Royal Blood lines. All the entries are coded to indicate to which reference work or which National Society has at least one of their proven lines. Several of the National Societies have over 20 different lines from a single Ancestor. When you enter the 1600s Ancestor Data Base be sure to look at the top of each data page for the link that takes you to the "Data Base Information Page" Here you will find the codes and references listed and how to use them. This is must reading to understand the Data Base. We are constantly updating the Data Base with additional Ancestors added as time permits. You will find the 1600s Ancestor Data Base at: http://www.firstfamilies.org/db/ Everyone has FREE access to all our web site and the reports contained there. 3. Hi Cathie, I thought I had found these people, but the birth date is June 1866 for Albert. Albert, a teamster, born in Minnesota, his wife, and children are living in Minneapolis, and his parents were both born in Sweden. There were only two candidates (the other was xx years old) who came up in the search using your information, and this was the closest. I'll give you what I found: Cathie wrote: > > Good Morning! > Wondering if SKS on the list would have a subscription to genealogy.com > or another source and would be willing to see if there is an Albert > Swanson in Minneapolis or elsewhere in Minnesota. > Looking for: > Wife's name and any information provided for her Wife's name is Carrie, born August 1871 in Minnesota, both parents born in Sweden > If there were children, what their names were, ages and month and year > of birth Children listed are son, Arthur, born April 1890 in Minnesota, son, George, born October 1892 in Minnesota, son, Frank, born August 1894 in Minnesota, and daughter, Ethel, born August 1898 in Minnesota > How long Albert and his wife had been married Married 12 years > How many children were born to Mrs. Swanson and how many were living at > the time 5 children born, 4 children living > I would surely appreciate any assistance. 2. Cathie
    3. Good Morning! Wondering if SKS on the list would have a subscription to genealogy.com or another source and would be willing to see if there is an Albert Swanson in Minneapolis or elsewhere in Minnesota. Because Albert's name is so unique to MN (ha ha), please consider the following in a search: Albert Swanson was born in Minnesota (Meeker County, MN) on October 25, 1867 so would be 32 (if census were enumerated before October) or 33 (if census were enumerated October or after). Parents were both born in Sweden. Looking for: Wife's name and any information provided for her If there were children, what their names were, ages and month and year of birth How long Albert and his wife had been married How many children were born to Mrs. Swanson and how many were living at the time I would surely appreciate any assistance. Thank you. Cathie

    3. Robert Normally people would try the courthouse for those older (pre 1900) births. You still might want to try them first. See the Chisago county MNGenWeb project http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnchisag/index.htm page to find the courthouse address. In this case it appears the original township clerk registers are preserved in the Minnesota State Archives at the Minnesota Historical Society in St. Paul. See http://www.pals.msus.edu/cgi-bin/pals-cgi?SET%20WEB%20MHSCAT____/te%20%20chisago%20county%20records%20shafer/SAGE%200/MAXDI%203/di%200001 Since the record is pretty old, I think you should be able to have access to it without any difficulty. The best way would be to go in person to MNHS to view the register, have the page copied etc. If you can not go in person the archivists will do a search for you. I believe the research charge is 20 dollars plus the copy fee (which is inexpensive). Good Luck Anna Robert Tucker wrote: > Looking how to find a copy of a birth certicate of my Father Cyrus Leon Carlson.
