Might I also suggest checking with the funeral home in the area? Many times those records follow new owners and if they have records, I have always found they are most happy to share . . . and sometimes I've found my best gems in the little scribbled notes in those files!! HI BETH, I need the first name of Euphemia's daughter. She wasn't a Graham as that is who Euphemia married in 1901. I want to find marriage certificate for Euphemia Gowan nee Tweedie, Letiz, Graham. Gowan was her mother's maiden name! Have death certificate for Euphemia, her second husband George Wallace Graham and her son who it said was a step son of Graham but he also went by the Graham name. I think I would call the city hall . . . or the courthouse . . . they would have records of each cemetery and the person to contact . . . or at least the ones I have contacted have been able to give me that information . . . happy hunting. This is the place where he and his wifr Johanna (Andersdotter Ekstrom) and their daughter Lotta lived in Census 1870. I can't find them there later, that's why I'm a little confused. Lars, Johanna and Lotta is in Census 1870 for Benson, Swift County, Minnesota but I can't find Sven and neither of them in Census 1880. I believed Lars and Johanna died before 1880 and Lotta married and changed surname. How can I find out this? How can I find out if it's "my" LL who bought land (see below)?
