Obituary Muskegon Chronicle, Muskegon, MI, Thursday, October 19, 1967 Mr. Flejszar, 76, Dies After Fall A fall down basement stairs at his home Wednesday caused the death of John Flejszar, 76, of 1663 Sixth St., at Mercy Hospital today. Mr. Flejszar sustained multiple injuries as a result of the accident, including forehead and face bruises, contusions, and rib and leg injuries. His condition at first was satisfactory but he died at the hospital about 10 a.m. Formerly the owner of a barber shop on Sixth Street for many years and also an insurance agent here, Mr. Flejszar was born Nov. 20, 1890, in Poland. He came to this country in 1917. A communicant of St. Michael's Catholic Church, ne was a member of the Polish National Alliance of Pulaski Lodge, the Lithuanian Club, and the Muskegon Barber's Union. He also was a member of the Senior Citizens' Club of St. Michael's parish, and one of its pioneers. He was married to the former Miss Stella Morgulec in Muskegon July 5, 1920, Mrs. Flejszar died here March 14, 1959. He leaves a son, Chester, of Norton Township, two daughters, Mrs. Hubert M. Scott of Muskegon Heights, and a daughter in Hamtramck; five sisters, Mrs. Sebastian Kielar, Mrs. George Sagan, Mrs. Angeline Krystkiewicz, and Mrs. Sophie Inglat, all of Muskegon, and a sister in Poland; and 11 grandchildren. Obituaries FLEJSZAR, MR. JOHN J. 1663 Sixth Street The Solemn Requiem Mass for Mr. John J. Flejszar will be sung at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Andrew Sikorski as Celebrant, and the interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pachesny Funeral Home, beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, and where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday. -Pachesny Flejszar, (Mrs. John) Stella (Morgulek) Obituary Muskegon Chronicle, Muskegon, MI, Saturday, March 14, 1959, page 21 Mrs. Flejszar, Beauty Shop Operator, Dies Mrs. John Flejszar, 58, of 1663 Sixth street, who with her husband operated Flejszar's Barber and Beauty Shop for 36 years on Sixth street, died early today at Mercy Hospital where she was admitted Thursday evening after suddenly becoming ill. Death was attributed to a stroke. The former Stella Morgulek, she was born June 12, 1900, in Poland where she spent her early years. In 1914 she came to the United States and Muskegon where she has lived since. She was married in Muskegon July 5, 1920 to John Flejszar. Mrs. Flejszar was a communicant of St. Michael's Church where she was a member of its Rosary Society, and was one of the organizers of its church choir. She also was a member of the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America and the Polish National Alliance. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Eugene Jajac of Hamtramck and Mrs. Hubert Scott, Muskegon Heights, one son, Chester Flejszar of Muskegon; two brothers, Anthony Morgulek of Lansing and Aloysius of Detroit, and 10 grandchildren. Inglat, 69, of 297 W. Larch Ave., founder of the Maple Lanes Bowling Center, died early today at Mercy Hospital after a short illness. He was born April 16, 1894 in Poland, coming to the United States and settling in Buffalo, N.Y. in 1913. He came to Muskegon in 1914 and was in the restaurant business here for nearly 40 years before building his bowling business on Henry Street. Mr. Inglat married the former Sophie Flejszar at Muskegon on May 1, 1917. He was a communicant of St. Michael Catholic Church and a member of the Polish Roman Catholic Union Lodge No. 78. He leaves his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Kowalski and Mrs. Alex Komarek both of Muskegon, a son, Edward George Inglat of Muskegon and three sisters in Poland and seven grandchildren.
