She was married in 1923 in Muskegon to Matthew Vanderploeg (born 1897). Matthew must have died between 1944 and 1946 in Muskegon according to Polk's Muskegon (Muskegon County, Mich) City Directory. He was about 48 years old, so I assume that Effie remarried. Effie had a sister Matti who married Jannes (John) Kooij/Kooi. She died in September 1980 (don't know the exact date, probably in Muskegon). They had a daughter Doris Mae married to Sidney Tornga. Who can help?
