I firmly believe there is a connection. Like many of the old stories you have heard, two brothers came over from Switzerland - one settled in Ohio and the other in Michigan. My ggrandfather was Leon Cribley and the census shows that he emigrated from Switzerland, but I can find no record of it. And believe me I've searched.
