Webster Ave., across from Hackley Park - on Business US-31 (road is in process of changing) is the "place" for Muskegon family research - city directories, plat maps, histories, 1884 and 1894 census, other census microfilm, newspaper microfilm, birth, death, marriage, naturalization records (indexed, too), church records, records from one local funeral home, extensive card and printed indexes, local genealogical society has their collection available here. Basement of gorgeous library building - a must see. Open Monday-Saturday. Also, County Clerk office at the county building between Pine and Terrace and Apple (highway M-46) and Walton Streets.
