Daugherty, age 68, passed away Thursday afternoon at his home following a 3-month illness. He was born March 21, 1905 in Indiana and married the former Mae McDonald in 1923. She passed away in 1957. Then married the former Joyce Klintworth in 1958. He has been a Spring Lake resident for the last 13 years coming from the Muskegon area. He formerly owned the Robbins Nest Tavern in Spring Lake and retired from Teledyne Continental Corp. in 1967. Survivors include his wife and 5 daughters, Mrs. Harry (Cleo) Smith of Spring Lake, Mrs. William (June) Yedniak and Mrs. Ronald (Claudette) Bethke, both of Grand Haven, Mrs. Donald (Mary Lou) Judd of Muskegon and Linda at home, 3 sons, Charles of Holland, Carlyle of Spring Lake and Wayne at home. Also 27 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. 1 brother, Lewis Daugherty of Muskegon. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. from the Kammeraad Chapel in Spring Lake. Interment will follow at the Mona Vie! w Cemetery. She was born Mae McDonald at Detour Aug 28, 1908, and was married to Claude Daugherty at Detroit March 25, 1923. The couple moved from Muskegon to Spring Lake four years ago.
