QuisMoQua Anderson (born about 1787) had a son named Peter Anderson. She also had another son, Jacob and a daughter, Lydia. This family was full-blooded Ottawa Indians. Lydia Anderson (born about 1831) had two daughters with a man named David Smith and they were Sara (born about 1852) & Martha Smith (born about 1854) The two Smith daughters married Robinson brothers, Daniel Mac & Leonard. Lydia, their mother, later married George Armstrong in May of 1866. One of QuisMoQua's son's, Peter Anderson, had three wives the last wife was Alice Won-quay. Alice is listed on the Durant roll as being age 52 of Chief Lake in 1909. Peter Anderson & Alice Won-quay had a daughter named Monsano Anderson (The Monnie that Denise is referring to). Monnie married a Hennessy and they had a son named William, according to one source I have. But there is also a newspaper article from 1913, which is about a woman named Mary Hennessy who was shot by a man named William Hall. This Mary Hennessy is believed to be Monnie Hennessy. In the article it lists four children, Edward, Mary, Susie, and Thomas Hennessey. The Hennessey's are also listed on the durant roll of 1909 as living in Muskegon and being a part of the Grand River Band. They are listed as Mary Hennessey (29), Edward Hennessey, (9), Susie Hennessey (12), & Thomas Hennessey (5). Mary or Monnie Hennessey died in Muskegon a few years after this shooting from TB. Any connection? Jenni
