I have most of the info on my great grandfather Solomon here in the US, but I am trying to find something that shows he is the son of Jean-Baptiste Lamoureux and Louise Lazur(e). If I can make that connection I will have him traced back to France in 1639. I have a big void in his life. I can't find him being born. The first time I pick him up is when he married Elise Patenaude (various spellings) in Laprairie, QC on October 2, 1899. The next time I pick him up is in Muskegon as Solomon Lamoreaux, a widower, in the 1900 census. I went to the Archives but can't find immigration papers on him either. Oh well, if genealogy was easy, it wouldn't be so much fun. Patt
