In 1881 he married Clara Jean in Chicago. in 1882 he was in Ludington where his son James was born. In 1884 he was in Manistee where Joseph Albert was born. In 1890 the family was back in Chicago where their daughter Maria Rosalia was born. There were some other children but I haven't found them yet. In 1895, Joseph and Clara divorced and shortly thereafter their children Joseph, (Maria) Rose and Emma were sent to the state school in Coldwater. The 1870 census lists a family headed by Joseph Morrin in Stronach. I believe the son Joseph is my relative but cannot yet prove it. My father thinks that his grandfather died in Muskegon in the 1930's. I am sending for a death certificate for Joseph P. Moran (another spelling of our name) who died in 1930 and hope that I will find a connection to him.
