Does anyone have cemetery records for the Casnovia area? I'm trying to find information about Ruth Kriger (wife of J. Nelson Kriger/Krigger) who lived in Casnovia for many years. She appears on the 1930 census and she died in 1932. Someone told me she died in Kent County, but I could not get a death certificate for her using that information. Any help would be appreciated. Klink, 46 years old, 1279 Apple avenue, died at Mercy hospital yesterday, following a short illness. He had been a resident of Muskegon for four years and was road manager in the Muskegon district for the Grand Rapids Herald. Before coming to Muskegon he had been employed 19 years by a Philadelphia newspaper. Mr. Klink was born at Reading, Pa., June 11, 1894. He was educated there and was a member of St. Paul Catholic church, Reading. Since coming to Muskegon he had made his home with a sister, Mrs. George Tibbett. She was quite an elderly lady, given that I was only 8 years old when we moved to Apple Avenue. I remember her inviting me into her house quite a few times. It was always immaculate. In the 1870s, Muskegon was known as the Lumber Queen of the World. I also believe many doctors owned houses later on in that area. Also, many of the businessmen of the community probably owned property there. Yes, there was an address change around 1924-25 and all Muskegon streets changed addresses. A main road that connected Muskegon to the Heights? Why are there so many big homes along these streets? My VanderVeere family lived at 39 Delaware back in the early early 1900's and it seemed that quite a few family members must have lived there, so I'm thinking the house must have been big. I've driven Delaware St., but I'm not sure exactly where this house would have stood, as many of the lots are empty now.
