    3. Could someone see if there was an obit for Anastasia Farquharson. All I have is that she died in 1951. I would like to find if she was connected to my Farquharsons in Muskegan. In fact, any information on any Farquharson after 1930 would be very much appreciated. Barb Smith

    3. The links worked for me. The link that Bill provide was http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~muskegoncounty/Index.htm and I had no problems with it. I know the kind souls who volunteer their time to put this information on line for free work very hard at it. It is a labor of love for them and time consuming. Many of the volunteers have full time jobs. I also found that the link posted for the rootsweb boards work just fine also. Hackley Public Library has directories back to 1870; was not published every year. I checked directories in 1930's; can check further to see when the Briggs family stops being listed. All 80,000 cemetery records for Muskegon County up to 1980 are found at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~muskegoncounty/Index.htm Many items to be found there; the birth index is beginning to be posted there, too.
