I firmly believe there is a connection. Like many of the old stories you have heard, two brothers came over from Switzerland - one settled in Ohio and the other in Michigan. My ggrandfather was Leon Cribley and the census shows that he emigrated from Switzerland, but I can find no record of it. And believe me I've searched. Let's see if we can find a connection somewhere. Marilyn Cribley Young Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The informant and cemetery may not be on the original forms. Death records could be held even at the township level as well as county and then at the state level. I've also seen proof of death in Wills or in Probate files when I couldn't find it in "death records". Also in church held records where they attended. There are many ways. Obits are another source. So you have to be a detective and use every resource available. As to your second question, you never know when you are going to get informant and burial questions answered. This information was usually added to the forms in later years... but again, you just never know. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
