    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Kok, Tienstra, VanderHeijden Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/WGB.2ACI/372.2.2.1.1 Message Board Post: Cathy Boudewina did have a brother Nicholaas/Klass b. about 1870, married to Grietje/Grace Tienstra about 1893 in NL. They immigrated in or around 1901 with 3 children to Roseland area of Chicago, where they had several more children although at least 3 of them died in infancy. Records I have found for them include 1910, 1920, and 1930 (?) Census records and a membership record from around 1910 in Second Roseland Christian Reformed Church. And at sometime their son Pieter, b. 1899 changed or had his name changed to Cook. Klaas and Grace also had a daughter, Aukje or Anna b. june 6, 1895. But this Nicolaas/Klaas and Boudewina were the son and daughter of Willem Kok and Hermijntje Van Der Heijden. So it sounds to me like the Klaas, son of Albert, married to Anna that Joan found is more likely yours? Perry

    1. Listowner AFK for three weeks
    2. Hello fellow Muskegon area researchers! I'm putting this list on "auto-pilot" for the next three weeks as my husband and I are traveling to Scotland on vacation. I trust you guys will continue to help each other out as you have in the past, and I don't need to remind you about "no flaming," etc. because we've never had that problem here. (Gee, don't I sound like somebody's mother!? ;) I apologize for being less than communicative in the past several months but my genealogical interests have waned somewhat after the death of my father (last year) and then recently finding out that my mother has cancer. When you're taking care of the present it's sometimes hard to be interested in the past. Perhaps some of you will know what I mean? Anyway, happy hunting and have a great summer! The list goes on . . . . Jill (Syers) Clark listowner, MIMUSKEG-L

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WGB.2ACI/1425.1 Message Board Post: Hi, I saw your query and was wondering if you have found your gr grandfather's death record yet? I live near Muskegon, and am willing to look it up for you. The local library also has microfilms of area newspapers, and I might be able to find an obituary for him. I also have a question for you--do you have an Angeline(Patenaude) Duhaime in your family? She was my gr grandmother's sister and married Edward Duhaime, I believe. I am trying to find more info on the family. Thank you, Julie

Minnie Cook Tucker was the sister of my grandmother, Anna Cook Meachum. Their mother was Emma Baker Cook and father was Fred Cook. Anyone who may have any information please respond.
