This is really unfortunate, as they were one of the earliest funeral homes in the area and if we could find their records, they would provide a wealth of information for researchers. Jim

I am looking to open a genealogy library in California after I receive my masters in Library Science. (probably at least 4 years from now). Also, if anyone wants to send their family pedigrees or history to me that would be great too! Feel free to email me with any questions. Thank you! Amy

Their 10th child, my grandfather, Clarence Wesley Nichols was born in Pellston, 1909 - I found their names on the Pellston census - states there were 10 children with 8 living. I dont know when they moved but eventually, moved to Flint Michgian where Charles died Feb.1, 1920. I have been unable to locate any information on the family after that. Olive (b. ABT 1886) is the daughter of James and Lydia Winters and lived in Spring Lake in 1870, and according to census of 1880 they lived in the Holton area. I am attaching a photograph of her and my great grandfather holding my grandfather, Clarence Wesley. Thank you for any information you can provide. Cathy Adams

If it wasn't you it must be another cousin with the same name. My great aunt, Hilkelena Recker married Jacob Kikkert. Their daughter Beatrice married Tony Hoekstra. Aunt Bea wrote a history of the Kikkerts that included a lot about the Reckers. The mother of Hilkelena (Aunt Lena to me) and my grandfather, Dick, was Boudewina Kok married to Ahlrich Recker. That's where the Koks come in. Aunt Bea is in the Holland Home in S. Holland and in good health but not doing anymore genealogy. I hope to visit her soon and just the other day sent email to a Mike Hoekstra inviting him to join us. If it wasn't you but you are in the Bea and Tony line, you would also be welcome to join us. Are you in Muskegon? I live in Blue Island, IL now, but grew up in Lansing, IL. Perry
