    3. Gregg, In every family there is a maternal and paternal side. Different personalities, and GENES, are inherited from BOTH sides. As you have indicated in your post, that like your wife, we Mims' are all pompous asses, may I suggest that you continue to research your own lineage to find out why people like you are so attracted to us. However, I agree with you on your assessment of greed, etc. If there are people on this web who do not want to share their information, why are they here? Could it be that they are just sneaking around 'collecting' information from those of us who do share? And why? Beats me. What makes a person travel so far and devote so much time to collect information on their lineage? Because they want to and they can. They should rejoice in being able to do so, and excited to be able to share their data with the ones who care the most. ----- Original Message ----- From: creech Sent: Tuesday, August 05, 2003 8:40 PM To: MIMS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [MIMS,MIMMS,MIMBS] REMOVE ME AS WELL I really haven't been following the "discussion" that closely but I've read enough to know that "pompous asses" pretty well sums it up. Mims is my wife's maiden name...this research has been a sidelight for me as I researched my father's family tree...and have traveled from VA to FL doing so! I've wager I've paid more dues than "the Rock of Research" and any of the rest of you in this group. In all my years of research I've never encountered a group so petty and greedy. With the exception of some in the this group, every genealogists I've met (and I've met a few) was always anxious to help anyone they could as much as they could. Your attitude defeats the whole purpose of our research. REMOVE ME FROM YOUR LIST AS WELL. I'll get around to my wife's family eventually and I have no doubt I can get along without you just fine. 3. Barbara....you are an idiot and pompous ass. I didn't say ALL Mims were pompous assses....just those of you on this board who are behaving as such. Can you comprehend or is it too shallow at your end of the gene pool. And, don't talk genetics with me....I'm a geneticist by trade. AND, as I said...who needs you dumbasses anyway. REMOVE ME FROM THE CESSPOOL.
