Billie, When you mention SC as a birth place, I see my notes for Shadrach Mimms b. about 1729 Edgefield, SC. If this is true as a birthplace, then it would appear that David Mims and Agnes Weldy, the parents of Shadrach, were in South Carolina around 1729. I would think you should go back to David and Agnes's family list (at www.familysearch.org or other sources) and look up their sons, and see if some of them stayed in SC. Shadrach died in 11-17-1777 in Goochland Co, VA so he eventually left SC. I hope we could find some connections and identify them.
