My great grandfather was John M Mims and he lived in Red River County, Texas. He was born in Kentucky, moved to Arkansas, then after the war moved to Red River County or nearby. Married Margaret Warren in Red River County, movced back to Arkansas a few years later. He is not the one that was postmaster. Seems there were several John M Mims in the area at the time. I would like to see how many Mims I can find in the cemetaries in that area. Jan
