While looking through some Bibb County, GA court records for any little thing mentioning my ancestor, I came across an entry for an E.B. Mims who received money from the court for D. Gurganus's casket in 1851. For several years prior to his death, David Gurganus was on the Pauper list in the court records and so I assume that is why E.B. Mims is receiving money from the court for David's casket. My question is---does anyone know if E.B. Mims was an undertaker or made caskets? I am trying to determine what connection, if any, he had to David. Is anyone researching this Mims line? thanks, Michelle Ganus Taggart
