Hello, I believe that Williamson Mims actually had 3 wives. In the 1820 census, his children Elias (age 10) and Epsy (age 9) were a little old to be the children of the wife (age 16-26) in the household (though it is possible) Also, there is a significant gap in the ages in the 1820 children because there are also 2 much younger children who were probably the children of this second wife. In 1830, there was no wife in the household and there were young children. The second wife probably died 1828-1830. After 1830, Williamson married Cintha and they appear together in 1840 and 1850. This is what I believe the census records show, but I am willing to be contradicted if anyone has better evidence. This is not my Mims line and I have no additional information.
