Has anybody submitted DAR papers on Shadrack Mims? I have just submitted my DAR papers for Joseph Cobb of Georgia, but I also am descended from Shadrack Mims through Thomas Birch Mims of Santa Rosa County, Florida and would like to submit that one as a supplemental. My great-grandmother was his granddaughter, Florida Mims. According to my GEDCOM Drury Mims would be my 1st cousin 8 times removed. According to my records Drury had a brother also named Shadrack, but my ancestor was the son of Thomas Valentine Mims. I'm not sure if this one is the same Shadrack MIms listed in the DAR Registry. Below is a copy of their repsonse to my inquiry. A search of our Patriot Index provided the information found below. MIMS, Shadrach Birth: Before (ante) 1765 Service: GA Rank: Sol, Patriotic Service Death: GA 23 Nov 1807 Patriot Pensioned: No Widow Pensioned: No Children Pensioned: No Heirs Pensioned: No Spouse: (1) Elizabeth X Vanessa On Jan 10, 2004, at 10:56 AM, JVanZandt@aol.com wrote: Hi! I submitted my papers for the DAR several months ago for relative Drury Mims, Sr. and am waiting for my official DAR number. I was told it would take a few months to be processed. I am searching for information regarding Agnes Miims who married Thomas Riddle 11 Oct 1755 in Goochland Co, VA. I am fairly certain that they are the parents of Thomas Riddle who married Rebecca Goolsby 16 Aug 1802 in Oglethorpe Co, GA. Any help with this family would be greatly appreciated!
