I'm still trying to prove my g-grandfather, Frank Peyton Mims - b.1853/d.1906, was the son of William Peyton Mims and Sarah Victoria Brady. I can find William Peyton Mims in the 1840 & 1850 Sumter Co., GA, census and then he and Sarah turn up again in the 1880 Webster Co., GA, census in the household of Diamacia (?) W. Mims. Where is this family during 1860 & 1870?????? Frank Peyton Mims shows up as a 27 yr. old & head of his own family in the 1880 Lee Co., GA, census. I've spent MEGGA hours looking through census film.
