Hello family: I have been with this list a couple of years now and am still not sure how my little part of the Mims fits in, but am sure they are in there somewhere. I just keep looking for a string to grab and hang on to.... but am ashamed to say that other than reading through your messages for familiar names, not much searching has been accomplished by me lately. My grandmother, Leila Blanche Mims (born 1893) had siblings Edward, Charles, Euston, Clyde. Their father, Thomas Wright Mims, m Amady E. Miller. Thomas' siblings were Mart, John, William, Rudolph, Mary. Their father, William Bill Mims, m Mary Box. His sibling was Joseph. Best I know, this all happened in South West Georgia. I am a licensed private investigator, a professional "people finder". You would think I would have stumbled across at least one of my ancestors in the past year, wouldn't you. But...if it were easy, we would all have all our answers. I appreciate the messages. There is a wealth of information there, and the sharing that I have seen in this group is amazing.
