I'm looking for info on the parents ar other relatives of Charlie and Emma Mims. They had nine children: Arthur Mims-----b. 1912-----d. 1974-------m. Hazel Phillips Reather Mims-------b. 1918-------m. _____ Johnson Henry Lewis Mims--------b. 8 June 1919--------d. 25 July 1949-------m. Alma Cales Carrie Mae Mims-------b. 7 March 1922--------d. 5 April 1991-------m. Harry K. Worten Jessie Preathea-------b. 9 March 1925---------m. #1 Elizabeth Adela Mitchum (my grandparents) Spurgeon Mims Jim Mims--------m. Alice Hardy Wilson Mims---------m. Myrtle L. Maggie Mims-------m. Clifford Eagerton I believe this is Charlie H. Mims (22 February 1872-29 November 1955) and Sarah E. Mims (3 February 1881-28 November 1947) who are buried in the Wesleyan Methodist Church Cemetery in Berkely, SC. Several of their children are buried there also. I think that Charlie had a brother named Purdy (? spelling) and they were from Lake City, Williamsburg County, SC. I need to find out who the parents of Charlie and Emma were. I am having a bit of trouble tracing this line and would appreciate any help or suggestions anyone can give. I think most of the remaining children of Charlie and Emma are currently living in Georgia, maybe around Waycross, but there may still be relatives living in Alvin, SC or anywhere in the lowcountry of South Carolina as well.
